Our History

First established in Sydney in 1983, the Council has grown from just from one group into a Council that now has eleven direct member Affiliates in NSW and nine Interstate Constituent Affiliates, member numbers currently are in excess of 3,000.
The Council is a proud Volunteer organisation dedicated to providing its members with a high standard of governance and opportunities in Competitions that range from local Shows to State & National Events. Its peak event is The Grand National Championships,which has evolved into a highly acclaimed event that now extends over four days & two nights with three UK Judges providing a fresh opinion to those competing.
Training and other activities are conducted on a regular basis by the Affiliates all resulting in a more cohesive approach in Showing throughout Australia.
