HOT WEATHER PROTOCOL
It is the rider &/or exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure that any horse under their care & control is kept well hydrated with adequate water available to the horse at all times.
It is important to rest your horse, wherever possible, in a shaded area rather than exposed to full sun.
It is essential the rider monitors the horse for any signs of heat stress, particularly during and after exercise, and if detected to take the appropriate action to relieve the symptoms.
The above precautions are also to be applied toward the welfare of the exhibitor.
It is incumbent on the exhibitor to comply with any directions of Show Officials given to better manage the wellbeing of exhibits & exhibitors at the event .
